Tommaso Mazzarella moved to NYC in 2009, after obtaining a Master’s in Agribusinesses Economics, to set up the US branch of Calvisius Caviar USA, a world leader in caviar distribution. He successfully developed the firm by getting in touch with the best restaurants and top chefs in the US and growing the company to a multi- million business.
During this experience, he traveled all over the US and this gave him the opportunity of discovering the different trends and sides of the hospitality industry. After 6 years at Calvisius, Tommaso left the company and joined Giovanni Rana US, as the purchasing manager of the flagship restaurant located at the Chelsea Market Food Court in NYC. Here he deepened his knowledge in different specialty foods, distributors, importers as well as getting involved in the management of a 200+ seats restaurant which is open 365 days per year.
Tommaso worked as the VP of SoloFresco, a company that provides ready made food for schools across the US. He is now an MBA alumni at Cornell University, as well as managing the business ops of Unregular Pizza.
